How to take care of an oily skin

Today is the day that it is allowed to treat yourself. Sit down with a cup of tea, because we’re going to tell you how to get rid of your oily skin.

First we are going to tell you why some people have an oily skin. Oily skin is not genetic but it has everything to do with your hormones. The hormone that is responsible for an oily skin is androgen, that is a male hormone. One of the main male hormone is testosterone. Women also have male hormones, just like men also have female hormones ( such as estrogen) in their bodies.

Tallow is very important for the skin, as it prevents moisture loss, protects us against bacteria and fungi and keeps the skin supple. But when androgen hormones are too active , it creates sebum overproduction. This leads to a fast shiny skin, large pores (this happens so that the skin can quickly lost all the tallow), which in turn your pores become clogged quickly. This causes impurities.

How can you recognize an oily skin;
A little shine on your T- zone or a pimple here and there doesn’t mean you have an oily skin. But how do you know that you have an oily skin?
– After cleaning your face ( 1-2 hours later ) your face starts to glo.
– Your makeup seems to ‘ glide ‘ or simply disappear from your face.
– The oily parts of your face contains blackheads, white bumps or pimples.
– Your pores are visibly enlarged.

After you use a toner, you can use a special cream for oily skin. You can use different creams, but we have tested Clinque.. And we must admit that your face is less shiny. But it’s too bad that they only have a small bottle.

Face mask

And you can use face mask, clay masks are really a godsend for oily skin because they draw all sebum and impurities out of your skin. You just have to be careful that you don’t leave the face mask longer than 5 minutes, because it can dry your skin out.

Thanks for holding on so long, but we hope that these tips will work for you!
